Is "¿Dónde nació usted?" a grammatically correct way of asking "Where were you born?", in a more polite manner?

¿Dónde nació usted? is a more polite way of asking, 'where were you born', however I think that it would be fine without 'usted'.

I would say usted - Dakie, Dec 22, 2010
I think you almost always include 'usted' if you're asking a question in the formal second person. - RommpinCrab, Dec 22, 2010
I agree with Dakie. Using "Ud." is a formal way of speaking. When using Tú (tutear), it´s informal so "Tú" can be omitted - 005faa61, Dec 22, 2010

It is correct. Also, more naturally sounding, you can say:

¿Dónde nació?
