C´mon is slang. In the case of "C´mon and Get my Love", it means "come here" or "come to me."
It other places, "C´mon" is can express frustration or disblief, too. If I say something really outrageous, my friend might respond "C´mon." In these cases it means "Don´t be so silly!" or "I´ve had enough of this!"
C'mon is short for Come on
- (as exhortation) c on! -> ¡vamos!, ¡venga! (español de España)
- progresar (make progress) I feel a cold coming on -> me estoy resfriando or acatarrando Copyright © 2006 Chambers Harrap Publishers Limited Come On [kam]
- (urging/only in imperative). Come on! -> ¡vamos Come on! you can do it! -> ¡vamos, que lo puedes hacer Hi! come on in/up -> hola, pasa/sube (inviting somebody)
- Entrar, empezar (begin/night, winter). I can feel a headache coming on -> me está empezando un dolor de cabeza
- Avanzar (progress).
- Aparecer, salir a escena (actor/performer). , ¡date prisa!, ¡apúrate!, ¡órale! Avanzar (advance). Encenderse, ponerse en funcionamiento (begin to operate/heating, appliance); encenderse (light). Empezar, salir al aire (Radio, TV).(Sport) Entrar (player).
C'mon = Come on = Ven aqui.
Get my Love = toma mi amor
Adelante! alcanzate mi amor! C'mon! Get my love!
(Just an attempt at trying another way of saying the same thing.)
So a fitable translation for C´mon and Get my Love could be órale gánate mi amor?
....órale, gánate mi amor...
This sounds like a good translation for the meaning of the song title.
