Yes, I know le is indirect object, and la comida is the direct object, but why use sirven ,not sirve? why use plural but not singular? La comida is singular here. le is singular (él), but why it's sirven?

Because the "they" that are serving the food is plural--the verb is conjugated to the subject, not the objects. - lorenzo9, Dec 21, 2010
Do you mean "they" are the waiters? - zhmelissa, Dec 21, 2010
Yes, the "they" in this situation are the waiters - joshuamarc, Jun 18, 2017

"le" is the indirect object of the verb sirven and la comida is the direct object, so "le" refers to the person being served the food. The last phrase about eating with silverware looks a little odd.
