Takes a drink. - ray76, Dec 21, 2010
To take a drink refers to the action of drinking, in the moment. To sound natural in English, you'd say 'My father drinks when he is upset.' - afowen, Dec 21, 2010

Si es sólo agua tu bebida, más larga será tu vida.
( If your drink is only water, your life will be longer. )

You have to agree, there are not many things in life more enjoyable than that first coffee drink in the morning.

Usted tiene que estar de acuerdo, no hay muchas cosas en la vida más agradables que tomar la bebida de café en la mañana.

'agradables'. The rest is correct, although it doesn't sound natural, I'm afraid. The way I'd say this: 'Estará de acuerdo conmigo, en que hay pocas cosas más agradables en la vida que tomar el primer café por la mañana' - bill1111, Dec 21, 2010
Gracias Billstpor. I think I will leave the sentence since you said it is correct (but awkward), and in so doing keep in La Palabra del Día. Thanks again for your help. - Rolest, Dec 21, 2010

The following would sound more natural - 'If drinking doesn't kill him, his wife surely will.' - afowen, Dec 21, 2010

Si el vino es tu bebida, sólo toma un vaso al día, entonces la buena salud está garantizada.

If wine is your drink, only drink a glass a day ,then good health is assured.

Como soy inglesa, el té es una de las bebidas que más me gustan.

As I'm English, tea is one of the drinks I like best.

"There's nothing like a nice cup of tea." If I had a penny for every time I've heard that phrase......

'.. es una de las bebidas que más me gustan' ('una' has to agree in gender (not number) with 'bebidas', and 'gustan' has to agree in number with 'bebidas', as it is its subject) - bill1111, Dec 21, 2010
'cup or tea' or 'coop o' tea'? - afowen, Dec 21, 2010
Ah Bill , my New Year's Resolution must be to stop making such careless slips, and save you some work. :) - galsally, Dec 21, 2010

This is not correct I'm afraid. The literal translation should be: '¿Qué bebida quieres con tu cena?'. You can't change that word order. In practice, rather than 'qué bebida', it is much more common to ask '¿Qué quieres para beber?' - bill1111, Dec 21, 2010
I'm having problems forming questions in Spanish. I changed the sentence. - 0066c384, Dec 21, 2010
