I was discussing Spanish with my friend, and she said that there are many different local dialogues of the language in Latin America. Does anyone know anything about these local languages?

When you write dialogues do you mean dialects? - Leatha, Dec 20, 2010
I think that that's what she meant, yes. haha. - RAWRKAL, Dec 20, 2010

A bit. I lived in Venezuela for a couple of years and traveled some. I talk to Mexicans fairly often, and watch T V shows from Spain. There are definitely a wide variety of dialects, just like in English. The English from Glasgow, London, Brooklyn, Dallas, Sydney and New Delhi all sound quite different, but they're all English. It's just a matter of differences in pronunciation and local vocabulary and idioms.
