Typing Characters in recall for flashcards?

Is there a quick way on here to type characters with tildes? I try to use the alt+ keypad# but it doesn't work when doing the recall on flashcards. Unfortunately having to click on the ones that I want ends up messing me up and takes more time.

How to type Spanish letters

The above article from the reference section here discusses some options as well. There are also a lot of old threads on the subject. I personally have found it most convenient to go from standard US keyboard to the US international (rather that a Spanish keyboard)- it allows for all the accents except "ñ" by using the ' key prior to the letter, the "ñ" key requires the right alt with the n. It is still not real fast, but it does not alter your keyboard otherwise that much (except that quotes work strangely), so it is fairly easy to learn and does speed things up quite a bit.

That's what I do. - KevinB, Dec 20, 2010
It seems to work great, it looks like on my computer (on my laptop at least) that it is the semi colon button that does ñ instead of anything with n. THanks for the help! - evarela11406, Dec 20, 2010
