I wonder if there is another way of asking this: how much do you weigh?

If you are looking for "How heavy are you?", I wouldn't ask that.

"How much do you weigh?" is the best method to ask that question in English.

"What is your weight?" is another method, but not usually used.

"How heavy are you?"

Grammatically correct but socially awkward. It's almost as bad as "How fat are you?" "How much do you weigh?" sounds less judgmental (more objective).

I believe ¿Cuánto pesas? will work.

Can one ask ithis question without offending someone? I know that in the deaf culture, these kinds of personal questions are perfectly acceptable. Is this the case in Spanish cultures, as well? - zigweegwee, Dec 20, 2010

If you tanslate "how heavy....? literally, you would be asking: cómo de pesado (I mean, "gordo") eres?". This is very rude. But I supposed that in English the translation would be natural. - nila45, Dec 20, 2010
