I'm pretty sure spanish is like english in that you can put "re-" in front of most verbs, eg rehacer or in this case reocurrir.

Ugh, no. There are adjectives like 'recurrente' (recurring), but 'reocurrir' does not exist. - bill1111, Dec 20, 2010
haha ok! I spent quite a lot of time in Nicaragua last year, and every time I ask a question like "can I use this word" the asnwer was invariably yes, if you want! It wasn't so good for my Castilian! - oliheylon, Dec 20, 2010

I found out that apparently in English "reoccur" isn't a word, it's actually "recur". So I was just looking it up wrong. The closest spanish word is "repetirse"

Here is a link to one solution.

link text

occurir de nuevo

volver a occurir

Algunos cáncer de pulmo puede ocurrir de nuevo el plazo de cinco años.

It would depend pretty much on the context. It could be things like 'suceder de nuevo', 'suceder otra vez', 'volver a ocurrir', etc... for events, or it could be 'reaparecer' if you talk about a disease, or you could talk about 'un pensamiento recurrente' if you talk about a recurring thought.

If you want the translation for a particular sentence let me know.
