Yes................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I suppose that it is correct and we can translate it to Ella fue POR carro.

Por is incorrect. Ella fue en coche. By car - en coche. By foot - A pie. Even though por means by, not in these instances. At least not as far as I have heard. Or carro if you prefer.
