Notice that "Yo" is used when you need to make a contrast or a differentiation. If you say "Yo", it suggests that every other who is not you may be doing something different. So, who are the others?
If there are no "others", there shouldn't be any "yo".
No sé. Antes de salir para asistir la universidad, yo quería ir a Nueva York. Ahora, estoy aquí! Esta ciudad es como mi hogar, me encanta. Pero, me gustaría viajar a otro paises como España. No puedo estudiar en Madrid como he querido, pero tal vez voy a vivir en esa ciudad a traves otra manera.
I don't know. Before leaving to go to college, I wanted to go to New York. Now, I'm here! This city is like my home, I love it. But I would like to travel to other countries, like Spain. I can't study abroad in Madrid like I planned to, but maybe I'll go live there some other way.

I would like to travel to the land where I grew up . Where the summers were always
hot and dry, and my mom would fix me a pitcher of home made lemon juice when it
got too hot , where kids played cricket in the street using an old orange box for the
stumps, and a bald tennis ball to bowl with. We could go alone, down to the creek to
swim and swing out on a rope tied to a gnarled red river gum.Sneak into the orchards
for peaches, Apricots, grapes and Passionfruit. Then after dinner the family would
huddle around an old AWA upright radio and listen to a mystery play or a comedy
show , dad would be smokong his pipe and mom would be knitting socks for the
troops ,at the end mom made us all a cuppa and maybe some left over lamingtons,
they were always gooey so we could lick our fingers savouring every last morsel.
It is only an hours drive from where I live now , but, best not go back Eh.
So instead of that I will opt for a language school in Mexico so that I can at
least speak well enough to answer back that cheeky Jen , she is soooo good
she terrifies me ,but one day,, one day!!

People spend a lot of money to come down here, so it makes no sense to spend money to go somewhere else.
jeje, now that is a weird post Rolest, you are certainly missing out a lot of beauty. You think all beaches are the same? 
looooots and lots of people come to Spain, no reason not to go see and get to know other cultures and countries and people.
And don't even make me start talk about diving or other sports for that matter. Are all skiing slopes the same? Are all mountains the same?
For as far as I am concerned that is a very silly point of view, not because you don't like travelling, but because of your reasoning
