I am looking for xxxx can be either of the two ways below.
Busco xxxx
Estoy buscando xxxx (this form really emphasizes that you are right in the middle of the searching process).
The Spanish does not need the "for"...buscar = to look for. You could consider the "for" as being built in to the verb itself...if looking at it that way would help.
