It's se hizo because "made" is a word like become in that sense, right? Gracia.

Looks like passive SE to me, but I'm not sure. - webdunce, Dec 17, 2010

"El regalo se hizo fácil" means that the gift was easily made. Maybe it is a hand-made gift? Hard to say without a context.

I agree... Can you give us more context?

I like Sabor's suggestion "un regalo que es fácil de hacer" but I don't know if that is exactly what you mean in English. Where was that sentence taken from?

The sentence "Regalo se hizo fácil" in Spanish sounds weird smile

"Regalo se hizo fácil" sounds odd or incomplete, but it can be understood like the word "regalo" was easily created, and added to the Spanish language, one would assume. Alternatively, if we assume from a missing context that the sentence is "Regalo se hizo fácil (de aprender / de elegir /...)", this time the word "regado" turned out to be easy to learn.

Hmmm...could it be "The gift turned out to be easy" (I see that hacerse can mean resultar) - webdunce, Dec 18, 2010

Gifts made easy? I'd agree with webdunce and go with passive SE.

It's what the ad on the side of this site says. It shows a phone, and says "Regalo se hizo fácil."

Obviously they translated directly from English. - lazarus1907, Dec 18, 2010
I think they meant "Giving made easy" in that case. Not too sure how that should be written in Spanish...El dar de regalos se hizo fácil??? - webdunce, Dec 18, 2010
