Spanish 5 Speech Proofread Please!

We have to write a speech on someone who has problems and then give them advice, demonstrating our knowledge of the subjunctivo verbs. My school has terrible spanish teachers, so a lot of this is probably wrong. But that's just how we've been taught. We chose to write it on a lady named Nadia Suleman, the octomom, who mimes Angelina Jolie.

This is a speech I have for spanish 5 class. My partner and I are not good at the subjunctivo. if you could proofread it that'd be great! Thanks!!

C: ¡Hola! ¿Como te llamas?

A: Yo soy Nadia Suleman.

C: ¡Aye aye aye!

A: ¡No! ¡Nunca!

¡Adios!

Hi and welcome to the forum, this is a little bit confusing work. Keep trying but first I'd recommend you to review the grammar rules.

C: ¡Hola! ¿Como te llamas?

A: Soy Nadia Suleman.

C: ¡Aye aye aye!

(The last sentence is kind of weird here.)

A: ¡No! ¡Nunca!

¡Adios!

What Lazarus is trying to say is that you are taking on sentences that are too hard for you. It looks like you've been using a combination of a translator along with some things that you might be learning in Spanish class right now.

Personal pronouns "yo, tú, Ud. etc" are not used unless they are absolutely necessary to clarify a sentence. All other times they are redundant, as the subject is included in the verb ending.

I believe he is suggesting that you get back to the drawing board on your conversation and use sentences that you understand, as it does no good at all to memorize something and work really hard on it if it's wrong.

Perhpas you can do some more work on the conversation and repost it.

Best of luck. I know it's hard work.

bestvolleyba, I think you have to study and especially read more Spanish before trying to write long dialogues. And if Spanish 5 means 5th year of studying the language, you´ve been stolen at least 3.

It´s pointless to try Subjunctive mood before writing a decent 100 word paragraph in present tense of indicative mood and 200 word paragraph combining Indicative mood tenses.

Sorry if it sounds harsh but you have lots of improvements to do before attempting Subjunctive. Before today I would have thought impossible for a human being to write something like : ¨Espero que tú eres haga buena. Yo reccomiendo que tú buscas para ayuda.¨

I'm not sure if she's in college or high school, but in college a course usually lasts a semester. - benweck, Dec 17, 2010

agreed. I know that I need help, but honestly my spanish teachers for the past three years have been some form of awful. I understand that you may be superior to me in your knowledge of foreign languages, but I'd rather hear helpful feedback than someone - bestvolleyballer, Dec 17, 2010
telling me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your input, but I'd rather have help than have you ripping me to shreds over a speech I have to give. - bestvolleyballer, Dec 17, 2010

"Culé" has fixed some of your mistakes, but not others. There are still some orthographic and grammatical mistakes. Too many mistakes. Trying to write at this stage would be pointless (this is my opinion, as I am learning a fourth language), since you can't get the most basic sentences right. Keep practising, and you'll fix how to speak wrong in your head.
