Most translators answer this with.. 'No habría sido capaz de hacerlo' which seems right to me.
If I use the verb 'poder' to say 'No habría podido de hacerlo' , which would be the best to common talk or grammatically correct?

It is : poder + verb not poder de...
Also: No hubiera podido hacerlo.
NO hubiera sido capaz....can mean either he was physically unable...or it gives emphasis to the word poder...
Much more colloquial with poder, you are right![]()
