"I like to play sports."
Is it "Me gustan jugar los deportes." or "Me gusta jugar los deportes." Basically, all I need to know is if you are supposed to say gusta or gustan. See, you are talking about the sports (los deportes) which is plural. However, since you are saying jugar, does that change it to gusta? I know "I like the sports." is "Me gustan los deportes." but when you add jugar, do you keep gustan or change it to gusta?

Me gusta jugar los deportes is right because of the infinitive, jugar.

You would use "gustan" if you were to leave out the infinitive. Me gustan los deportes = I like sports. Using gusta or gustan does not have to do with Me/Te/Le/Nos, etc., it has to do with the objects that you like. So, if you like hamburgers, because hamburgers is plural you would say "Me gustan las hamburguesas", literally translated to "The hamburgers please me". If 'we' like the car, you would say "Nos gusta el coche", because it is only one object of which you are speaking that 'we' like.
Me gusta = it pleases me.
Me gustan = they please me.
Just wanted to clear that up...

Yes. Always use gusta (not gustan) with infinitives.
So, whenever you are using an infinitive, and saying something you like to do, you use gusta?
