How to say that someone likes someone else

I want to say that someone likes someone else for a movie review on the movie "She's the Man."

However, my teacher marked the phrases "Viola gusta su amigo" "Duke gusta otra chica" and "Olivia gusta Viola" wrong, and she put the ^ symbol before and after the subject's name, meaning that I'm missing a word like "que" or "a" Please help!

When using gustar, you need to use a personal "a" before the person and an indirect object pronoun referring to them after.

"A Viola le gusta su amigo." A Duke le gusta una otra chica."

"A ti te gusta Viola." You like Viola.
