Esa mañana no (haber) nadie en la calle tan temprano porque (ser) domingo. (Ser) otoño y (amanecer) tarde; todavía el cielo (estar) oscuro. Yo (andar) tan rápido como me lo (permitir) mis piernas. Cuando yo (estar) a mitad de camino, un gato madrugador (cruzar) frente a mí. En el patio de una casa, un gallo (cantar) tres veces.
I put había / era / Era /amanecía / estaba / andaba / permití / estuve / cruzaba / cantaba. How did I do? Thanks!

These are the only ones that need to be corrected: "permitían", "estaba a mitad de camino", "se cruzó", "cantó".
