I have a question to answer on my homework. It says to use formal command form in the sentence, No___el pasaporte. Olvida or Olvide?

Go to the Dictionary tab, type in "olvidar" and you will see the complete conjugation chart for this verb.

By the way, the "Formal Command" form is the same as the "Imperative". You'll find it in the lower right-hand corner of the chart.

"Olvida" is indicative, so it is a declaration about something you know or think. "No olvida el pasaporte" is simply an statement you make about someone who seemingly never forgets the passport".

"Olvide" is subjunctive, so it doesn't declare that someone doesn't usually forget the passport. It is a virtual tense that it is mentioned for a purpose, which here is intended as a polite request ("Try not to... forget the passport"), which is translated as a polite "Do not forget the passport, please".

olvide is the subjunctive and negative command form, olvida is the present 3rd person and formal command form
