the correct Spanish version would be:
¿Qué haces en Navidad?
¿Qué haces para Navidad?
¿Qué vas a hacer en Navidad?
¿Qué vas hacer para Navidad?

The use of the continuous form with future value is incorrect in Spanish. Not the same as in English.
That's a little bit of English interference right there. In Spanish progressives are only used when the action is CURRENTLY taking place, not when you're talking about the near future like we so often do in English. In Spanish, it's also possible to use the normal present indicative when you're trying to say you'll be doing something in the near future.
¿Qué estás haciendo para la Navidad? = What are you doing/building right now for Christmas?
