For me the best equivalent word in English is 'dregs'. Do not be in a rush. Others members may suggest some other words. Para mí, la mejor palabra equivalente en Inglés es 'dregs'. No tener prisa. Otros miembros pueden sugerir algunas palabras.

I think it may translate as 'residue' or even just 'the rest' - everything that remains after the juice or oil has been extracted from a fruit or vegetable. There is also the word 'pulp' but I don't think this word includes the peel or pips/stones.

ie:

After obtaining as much juice/oil as possible, the residue/rest can be discarded.

Maybe someone else will know a more appropriate word, but either of the two above should be easily understood.

Some people make zest from the citrus peel called flavedo (exocarp) and also from the albedo.
