Madrid, tourists attractions?

Hey everyone!
I am going to have a presentation about Madrid. I have never been there, only in Barcelona, so I wonder if anyone would recomend some attractions (historical places, museums, monuments etc)? I have searched online, but I think it's so difficult to pick one or two places because I have never been there.
I hope someone can help me!

Algunas sugerencias..... pero hay muchos mas.
Palacio Real, Museo Prado, Estadio Bernabeu, Parque Buen Retiro, Jardín Zoológico.
