it means tomorrow, without further delay

mismo does not have a semantic meaning in that construction. it is just used to emphasize what is said.

  1. adj. U., por pleonasmo, añadido a los pronombres personales y a algunos adverbios para dar más energía a lo que se dice. Yo mismo lo haré. Ella misma se condena. Hoy mismo lo veré. Aquí mismo te espero.

The automatic translator just says 'tomorrow', but it really means 'precisely tomorrow'. In this context, when you say 'Ve mañana mismo', it is used to give emphasis to the fact that your interlocutor should not delay the visit to the doctor. In other cases "X mismo" is used to remark that something (an appointment or a show you want to watch) is around the corner, eg: 'Esta misma noche tengo una cita'

Change it to mañana misma and it would be "this very morning" la mañana=morning el mañana=tomorrow - 0074b507, Dec 12, 2010
For 'this very morning' it is changed a little more: 'esta misma mañana'. Some people might say 'esta mañana misma', but it sounds worse. - bill1111, Dec 12, 2010
