Hay nuevas polémicas que surgen todos los días, muchas de las polémicas por cuestiones morales.
Hay nuevas polémicas surgen todos los días: here you have two main verbs (hay and surgen) in the same sentence.
muchas de las polémicas son la cuestión de moral: I guess you mean what kind are they. I can't think of other way to say that with less changes, sorry.
Ella se compró un teléfono rosa, lo cual es muy cursi.
In English "which" is the subject; however, in Spanish "lo" is no suject, so you need to use a relative pronoun: que or cual in this case are ok ("cual" sound better).
Un ensayista, también conocido como autor, escribe sus opiniones sobre una novela.
You can say "una ensayista", but that's femenine and then you say "autor", which is masculine. Even if "ensayista" has an a at the end, it can be masculine (it depends on the article).
Besides, "en" means they open the book and write on their pages. I guess you mean they write about it somewhere else.
A veces un estúpido error es grotesco.
"Error" is masculine.
Cuando llegué a la India había muchos mendigos que me pidieron dinero y comida.
Sometimes, one can use the present to talk about past events. However, this is not the case (that's why I wrote "llegué", perfet simple, and "había", imperfect simple). "Ask for" is not always "preguntar por/para". It can also be "pedir" (no need of preposition, unless you mention who you ask). Generally speaking, when you want to get something that might be physical or a reaction.
Nike es el patrocinador de tu equipo de fútbol.
When you talk about brands, you don't say "padrino" (used for people), but "patrocinador".
Fui a la boda de mi hermana y ella me presentó a su prometido.
The verb is "presentar", so it is not reflexive (you don't need "se"). Then the indirect object ("me") is ok, but it goes before conjugated verbs ("me presentó" and not "presentó me"). And to say who she introduced you need the preposition "a".
Me gustan todas las verduras pero no me gusta la alcachofa.
The verb must be plural because it is "las verduras" (plural). Besides, "verdura" is femenine, so you say "todas" and "las".
If there's something you don't understand from my explanations, just ask ^-^
Chokshi, "grammer" again???
