I am in D.F. In the daily life, there are some words or expressions specially in Mexico. Just want to share with you something for your reference. Maybe they can used in somo other countries. Any mistakes, pls point them out and help me recorrect them.

1.¿Qué onda-----cómo estas?
2.¿Dónde andas?---dónde estás?
3.Qué padre.---que bueno
4.Apoco----increíble
5. No te apures.---no te ocupes.
6.Playera---camiseta
7.Chamarra---chaqueta
8.Ya estoy delirando de hambre.---estoy muriendo de hambre.
9.estacionarse---aparcar
10.Orale--alright, hijole--wow
11.Celular---teléfono mobile
12.Antojarse---apetecer
13. lonchero---lunch box
14. enganche---depósito, downpayment
15. Ejote---green beans
16. Gripa..cold
17. Ya mero---almost here, just about to
18. Zócalo---main square
19. Recámara---habitación. bedroom
20. Papalote---cometa

Allow me some contribution on the following points: Point 5. No te apures---"Do not worry, do not stress". Or it could also be used to say: do not hurry. Point 17. Ya mero---"almost there" or "just about". Expresses that something will occurr or be completed in not too long time.

Specific to Mexico DF, you can say "Chócalo" for "Zócalo." (Very slangy)

"Órale" is more like "Alright!" where "Híjole" is closer to "Wow!"

"Lonchero" is spanglish and most educated people would not use this word in DF.

All in all, it looks like you are becoming well immersed in Chilagolandia. Good job!

PD: Recámara ....... Bedroom in a house and Habitación ...... room in a hotel.
