que soy yo quien te ama que soy yo quien te espera que soy yo quien te llora que soy yo quien te anhela los minutos y horas..

Why use "falles" and then "ama". Seems like tú form and then not.

IS IT: I ask that you not let me down, that I am the one whom you love. (??) That I am the one you wait for That I am the one you cry for That I am the one you long for (with??) the minutes and hours.

OR is it third person because it really says:

IS IT: I ask that you not let me down, that you are the one whom I love. (??) That you are the one I wait for That you are the one I cry for That you are the one I long for (with??) the minutes and hours.

The second one better explains the third person to me, but eh.

I ask that you not let me down. I am the one who loves you. I am the one who waits for you. I am the one who cries for you. I am the one who longs for you every minute and hour.

I think that the "que soy yo..." parts are just using "que" as added emphasis that doesn't really translate well. "That I am the one..." doesn't sound right. I think he's only asking the one thing at the beginning "que no me falles" and is then stating the facts "que soy yo quien..."

I think it's 3rd person because it's refering to quien, not to yo. The quien could potentially be anyone. - KevinB, Dec 8, 2010
