Embarrassing Spanish-speaking accidents!
So in class today my class was presenting their Spanish projects.
This one boy was presenting and he was trying to say, "When I was four years old...". He didn't pronounce the "ñ" in "años" so he said "Cuando tenía cuatro anos...". Which means "When I had four anuses..."
The class bursted into laughter and he turned red but he laughed it off so it's all good ![]()
Have you guys ever had any embarrassing Spanish-speaking accidents??

My husband was trying to order eggs for breakfast using the diminutive but instead of asking for "huevitos" de asked for "huevitas". In Colombia "huevas" can be testicles, so he asked for "little testicles". The lady's face was priceless.
I heard a guy trying to tell some other guys "to load", but instead of using the verb "cargar", he used the verb "cagar". That extra "r" is kind of important.
Yeah....
I've done that one, also instead of saying i was embaressed, I said i was pregnant. Which was pretty embaressing! ![]()
The word "preservative" in Spanish is translated "aditivo". In Spanish, the word "preservativo" is "condom".
So, this girl went to a cafeteria and asked:
"zumo de naranja, sin preservativos, por favor".
( an orange juice with no condoms, please!! )
Estábamos tomando unas cervezas.
Con nosotros estaba un chico que estaba aprendiendo español.
De pronto mi amiga María se quitó la chaqueta porque tenía calor.(she had heat) ¿Qué dice entonces nuestro amigo americano?
María ¡veo que esta noche estás muy caliente!(= you has very sexual appetite!)
Media cerveza salió disparada por mis narices.
Unforgettable.Ja,ja,ja.
We have a bilingual church. Our sermons, prayers, and songs are in both languages.
One Sunday, the preacher was ending his sermon in Spanish and asked, rhetorically, "Does anyone here like to sin?", using the word "pecador" for sin.
One deacon visiting from another church mistook the word for "pescador". He was sitting down front and, since he liked to fish, he raised his hand.
i was so embarrassed this one time i was in florida and then i went on a boat right? so this huge ocean wave came up and hit the boat i said,"- ohh wait and there was this boy on the boat that puked all over my brand new sneakers i got them at target and i saw another pair but they were to expensive then i went home and read a book and had a taco so anyways back in florida right? So we got off the boat and went climbing up this hill and we see some goats and they were so ugly but then there was a little baby goat and he hurt his foot so my friend carried him down the hill while i distracted the bull- i mean goat isn't it so funny when u try to say one animal then say something else? which reminds me i went to the zoo the other day with my nephew and he went down the water slide like 13 times but on the last time he hit his head so i had to help him off the slide so back to the island we were trying to find gold and we went into this cave right? and we saw this old creepy looking man and he told us to leave so we left when all the sudden we spied a gold coin and we turned around and the old man had disappeared! so we went back in and saw a skeleton hanging by the neck from the ceiling and we ran off then we were hungry so went back to the ship and ordered burritos then took a nap and went home....so when i got home i played this game called "rainbow magic kitties on a lost creepy scary island" and i ate some chili cheese fritos and went to the luu next i had a friend over and we play this game called go-go-go fish we play a round of go-fish and then run out side in opposite directions and try to get back inside first and lock the door after i won we went to our other friends house and egged it with eggs! later we had this firework that we put into a mail box that shot straight into a cranky old man's garage and exploded! sick awsomeness any ways the word i said was él instead of el LOL LMAO ROFL ![]()
Ok, since we are on this subject,
I once was working in a very busy environment (surrounded by quite a few customers) and when my co-worker ( who is from Boston and has a particular bostonian accent) returned from lunch, I asked him what he had for lunch. I couln't believe my ears when he replied "****had a pink burga**". Everyone who knew Spanish immediately started to laugh. The poor guy blushed (más rojo que su pink burga)but couldn't comprehend what the heck he'd said that had almost everyone in laughter.
