Even I was stumped by this mystery object to some extent

I knew this mystery object to be known by the names of Totem Tennis or/Swingball. And yes I was wrongly "holding out" for these specific terms.

However....on studying the other answers I now realise now that my mystery object is also known as a "Tennis Trainer" - Albert's first answer...well done Albert...
