Are there any limericks in American English? I read some of them in my British English student book... I'd like to read more limericks... share some of them please.

There once was a cat from France. Who dreamed of wearing some pants. So he went to the store and he fell on the floor and now he will never be able to dance.
VERRUGA
There was a young lady named Rose
Who had a large wart on her nose.
When she had it removed
Her appearance improved,
But her glasses slipped down to her toes.
There once was a lady named Bright,
who could travel faster than light,
She went out one day,
in a relative way,
and returned on the previous night!
A limerick AND a tongue twister in one:
A Tutor who tooted the flute
tried to teach two tooters to toot.
Said the two to the tutor,
"Is it hard to to toot, or
to tutor two tooters to toot?"
Of course, most limmericks are quite bawdy. I used to write limmericks for friends for their birthdays and anniversaries when I was younger, and I will post them, if I ever want to be banned for life from this wonderful site!
There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
But his daughter named Nan,
Ran away with a man,
And as for the bucket, Nan tucket.
But he followed the pair to Pawtucket,
The man and the girl with the bucket;
And he said to the man,
He was welcome to Nan,
But as for the bucket, Pa tucket.
Then the pair followed Pa to Manhasset,
Where he still held the cash as an asset;
But Nan and the man
Stole the money and ran,
And as for the bucket, Manhasset.
