He is an actor "should I say es un actor"?

Hi I know is spnaish that to talk about professions there is no need to use "un or una" normally but if you are say "he is an actor" is it different should I say "es un actor"?

Hmmmm....I think I'd still say. "Es actor." However, with adjectives I would say, "Es un actor buenísimo."

Yes, I agree with Marianne. When you qualify that he is a good actor, then you need to use the article.
