He worked in an office of the department of health in 1973 and 2 years later he forgot it by accident ???
"To leave [from a place]" in Spanish is "irse". "To leave it [e.g. a job]" is "dejarlo"
"Dejarse" is to allow people to do things on you or to you. I've got a question for you (which interests me greatly): what made you choose this verb over "irse"? Why using this pronominal version of "dejar"? Did you find it in any dictionary? An answer will be appreciated.
trabajó en una oficina del departmento de salud en 1973 y dos años despues se lo dejó"
You have to add in "lo" as the direct object to refer back to his job that he walked away from, or else he's dropping or walking away from himself.
"se le olvidó" would be "forgot by accident"
