Not sure if i formed these sentences correctly using direct objects?
¿Quieres comprarle el pasaje de autobús a tu novia? Sí, se lo compro.
¿Puedes pedirle consejos a tu amigo Miguel? Sí, se los pido.
¿Les mandan ustedes las invitaciones de la fiesta de cumpleaños a sus amigos en los Estados Unidos? No, no se las mando en los Estados Unidos.
¿Conoces a la doctora Aragón? Sí, la conozco.
¿Le preguntas a la recepcionista sobre el horario de esta oficina? Sí, ahora mismo la pregunto sobre el horario de esta oficina.

"Mandar a los Estados unidos", not "... en los Estados Unidos".

"La" is "laísmo" here. Indirect object pronouns do not differentiate between masculine and feminine.

Why did you use le (i.o.p.) for the receptionist in the question, but la (d.o.p.) for the receptionist in the answer?
Preguntar is one of those Spanish verbs where either the leísmo is commonly used or where a d.o. is assumed. Some seem to think that you must be asking something to someone so the someone is always considered an indirect object. In other word, preguntar means "to ask a question" with a built in d.o. Others use it similar to how we use to ask in English.
Which one did he ask?. He asked her (d.o.)
In my opinion it should be seen as:
- verb=preguntar
- d.o.=about the schedule (prep. phrase=noun)
- receptionist=i.o.p. le
So for your example it may be possible to use either le or la, but don't mix them from the question to the answer.
