Verbs, reflexive corrections

Verbs, reflexive corrections

Hi, i think I have used all the correct verbs here, I may have missed a couple, just wanted someone to double check for me please.

heres what I can use: aburrirse acostarse alegrarse despertarse llamarse quedarse quejarse sorprenderse

heres what I came up with: Mi tío (se llama) Manuel y es muy simpático. Los fines de semana él y su esposa (se despiertan) temprano, pero (se quedan) en la cama mirando televisión o leyendo el periódico hasta las nueve. Ellos nunca (se aburren) porque son muy activos y siempre tienen una agenda muy ocupada. A menudo Laura, mi tía, (se queja) de que los días pasen tan rápido, pero ellos son muy positivos y nunca (se acuestan) de nada. Yo creo que son estupendos y (me alegra) de tenerlos en mi familia.

I think i'm very close.

...pero ellos son muy positivos y nunca (se acuestan) de nada

acostarse=to go to bed

...pero ellos son muy positivos y nunca (se sorprenden) de nada. (nothing surprises them)

or another possibility....

A menudo Laura, mi tía, (se sorprende) de que los días pasen tan rápido

....y nunca (se quejan) de nada (they never complain about anything)

...me alegro.... (the pronoun and verb ending must be in the same person to be reflexive.)

You have 8 choices and 7 sentences so acostarse is not used.

Hi, rcmango!

The first part is good.

A menudo Laura, mi tía, (se sorprende) de que los días pasen tan rápido, pero ellos son muy positivos y nunca (se quejan) de nada. Yo creo que son estupendos y (me alegro) de tenerlos en mi familia.

Thanks for your feedback, I thought I was on the right track, but there were a few sentences, notably the ones you pointed out I was really struggling with. - rcmango, Dec 7, 2010
