If you type this sentence in under the Translation tab, you will get the correct answer.

I'm all for getting people to use the translation tools and dictionary provided on the site, but in this case 2 of the 3 translators return a phrase using the word "vieja". I was at an intercambio last week talking to a spanish woman and she said I shouldn't say viejo/a unless I really want to emphasise the age difference, almost make a joke of it. According to her it should be "es mayor que yo" (which is what google suggests).

Any thoughts?

How do you say, "Older than dirt?"

Slightly off subject but still speaking of age:

1 in 2,000,000,000 people will live to be 116 or older.'

Una en 2,000,000,000 de personas llegará a tener 116 años o más.

If you know what's good for you, you do not discuss her age....
