How would one say "flash" as in the flash function on a camera? I am trying to tell someone that the photos I am sending are dark because I couldn't use the flash. The translation tool provided "el flash," but I'm wondering if there are other possibilities or if that's the correct choice!

Thank you for your assistance!

It's just the same!

I also found "destello fotográfico" but that's so unusual - AntMexico, Dec 5, 2010
Very helpful! I was curious whether a phrase including destello would be possible, but this helps to clarify. - mapletw, Dec 5, 2010

Unless there is an alternative in some variety of Spanish, I believe we all use "(el) flash".

I set my camera to Spanish a while back and it says "Flash" for "Flash". "Flash settings" is "Ajustes flash". "Zoom" is "Zoom", too. Sad, isn't it?
