Can someone help? ¿Se puede traducir wildcat strike como “huelga ilegal”?

Lo he visto este texto sacado de la prensa:

“Spain declared a “state of alarm” on Saturday for the first time since returning to democracy in response to a wildcat strike by air traffic controllers that had closed air traffic at the start of one of the year’s biggest holiday weekends.”

Thank you!

The proper translation is "huelga no autorizada" or "huelga salvaje" (less common).

wildcat

a sudden strike without the usual warning by the workers and often without the official support of the unions

(Definition of wildcat strike noun from the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

In this sense, and although it is not technically correct, "huelga ilegal" makes sense.
