Fractions before or after a noun?

Fractions again!

Are they placed before or after a noun?

It depends on where it makes logical sense and/or if it sounds best?

For example:

(1). Tres y tres cuartos libras ( 3 3?4 libras ).

(2). Tres libras y tres cuartos ( 3 libras y 3?4 ).

Which of the above is correct to use and which is used more frequently?

¡Muchas gracias!

Hi, sv2qp!

It's more common:

Tres libras y tres cuartos (de libra)

Or quince cuartos de libra, or 3,75 libras

This is not correct: Tres y tres cuartos libras ( 3 3?4 libras ). So said, it's not understable to me.
