llama o se llama
If I am giving the name of a restaurant do I use the reflexive?
Not sure if the restaurant calls itself..
El restaurant se llama Sundy House o
El restaurant llama Sundy House'
Yep, I have one with something like 5000 pages! Anyways, yes, se llama is correct. Its the same as with names:
Se llama Rodrigo - He calls himself (his name is) Rodrigo.
I know how you feel. When I see a new word, I open my dictionary and suddenly realise I know about 5% of its contents. It has over 2100 pages.
As far as I'm concerned, they are all awkward. At times I think it's all coming together, and later my mind is so boggled that I think I'll never get past ¿Cómo está? I find it so hard to think quickly to carry on a conversation.
Just thought, El restaurante llama Sundry House indicates that the restaurante can speak and is calling "Sundy House".
You do love posing these awkward questions don't you.
The restaurant calls itself Sundy House.
The correct way to put it:
El restauante se llama Sundy House.
