Internet Spanish Lessons

Has anyone taken internet Spanish lessons? If nothing else, it seems like a good way for me to get good practice talking. Any recommendations or thoughts are appreciated. Sincerely, Chris Phillips

You are a member of Spanishdict.com; what a great way to start! Click up above on the "learn spanish" tab. After that, the instructions are fairly simple.

I use alot of different things: I signed up for free podcasts on iTunes for my iPod, I also signed up for a premium website LearnSpanish.com. It also has lessons that are free.

I find LearnSpanish.com will really pull you through the grammar. So for me, I will not appear here for weeks but be on other website. I also swear by something called Verbarrator, which drills you in verbs and all their tenses.

Please note if you do have an iPod Apple has many many free Spanish lessons you may subscribe to and receive on a weekly basis.

I also have Latino music (vocals) on my pod...painless and fun!

Well I don't know of any live lessons on Skype but we do have a lot of people here myself included that use skype all the time and there are Saturday chats set up for learning Spanish and English. You should join us.

Thanks for the responses. I have verberrator and think that it is a great tool. I also listen to Notes in Spanish and some other podcasts, also a great resource. However, what I was more specifically asking about was live lessons, for example, via skype. I really don't have time to take lessons at the local college and thought that lessons via skype would fill some gaps. If anybody has any experience I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance.

I love that program, it is absolutely the best I've ever seen for drills.

I really had problems with verbs & their tenses and boy did that really put me over the top!! - Ann-Frances, Nov 30, 2010
It helped me "seal" the sounds of the different tenses. I will drill 1st person preterite, 2nd person preterite, etc, one at a time, or whatever tense. Amazing results! - Jack-OBrien, Nov 30, 2010
