Could you please translate this sentence? "No es tagalog muy parecido al español? Yo tenia amigas de Filipinas."
This is my own understanding of this sentence. "Isn't it that is tagalog very similar to spanish? I have friends in the Philippines."
But I'm not sure if I got it right.

I got pretty much the same thing..
"It is very similar to the Spanish Tagalog? I had friends in the Philippines"
