Can 'flojo' translate as inappropriate?
I'm thinking about a phrase such as 'me entra la risa floja', and wonder if it refers to an inappropriate laugh at some bad news, or simply to a smile of sympathy.

It is more like a kind of uncontrolled laugh, where "flojo" suggest "not tight", "without a grip". The usual translation is "I got (a fit of) the giggles "

There are those who would feel that "giggles" is more appropriate for the weaker fairer sex. Since "fit of" suggests "uncontrolled", what about "I cracked up."
