Is Spanish changing?

Question

Some changes to the Spanish grammar and alphabet have been announced by The Spanish Royal Academy gathering in Guadalajara, Mexico, this weekend.

These changes will be interesting to purists and serious students. Could this be just the beginning? Have a look........

No estoy de acuerdo en que dejen fuera a las letras / ll / /ch/ y tampoco en que la V se llame igual que la B. En este último caso de las letras /b/ y /v/ sólo se presta a confusión igualmente con el cambio de nombre de la /y/

Antoine, se me hace que cambiaron el nombre de la V (ahora es *uve*) precisamente para que no se llame igual que la B. Estoy completamente de acuerdo con respeto al cambio de nobre de la Y. - munick, Dec 1, 2010

These proposed changes shouldn't cause any problems. The B and V seem to always go through changes. When I was growing up, the B was called B grande and the V was V chica. But what I always have found interesting is the inclusion or not of the W and K, which to Spanish are foreign letters anyway.
