"El" means the, and "él" means he. For instance, El carro es rojo. (the car is red) él hace comida. (he makes food)

  • "él" is pronounced with stress.
  • "el" is pronounced unstressed.

Él is the third person like Él es mi padre and El is the article used for masculin nouns like El perro
