Who likes to cook?
In a recent Skype chat there were a few folks surprised that I and other men on the call like to cook... I just wanted to see if there are any other cooks out there? What is do you like to cook? Any photos of your dishes?

Pues, en general las salsas que invito para la pasta son deliciosas... Por lo menos eso es lo que me dice la gente... Pero puedo cocinar muchos de los platos turcos también... 
I like cooking a lot! As I like eating too... Well, in general the sauces that I make up for pasta taste good! At least, that't what the people say to me... But I can cook many of the Tukish dishes too!
Okay, this is way to complicated for me to do in Spanish, but cooking is a passion of mine.
I love to cook, but never bake. I almost never use a single recipe to cook anything- I prefer at least 3 recipes so that I can see where the variation is and what has to be done to make it that dish. One of my favorite cookbooks goes around the world region by region, and explains the basic principles and flavor combinations of the cuisines, with only a few example recipes, so that you can create your own dishes in that style. I started with Indian years ago, most recently aquired some skills in Moroccan and Thai- I will generally try to tackle anything that is not Northern or Eastern European, although I have not yet attempted Ethiopian. I haven't yet done my own molé sauce yet either- another challenge I want to take on at some point. I am accused of never making the same thing twice- that is not true, but I do tend to have more fun trying something new. I have no pictures, and almost never write down a recipe. My last dish (pre-Thanksgiving) was chicken tajine with preserved lemon and olive. For Thankgiving (my part of it- my wife also cooks)- brussel sprouts with horseradish cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, whiskey sweet potatoes, a corn, cucumber and tomato salad, a baked acorn squash with nuts, raisins and brown sugar- and a feta/sundried tomato/kalmata/onion dip baked inside a small pumpkin.
I LOVE cooking and eating. I enjoy baking, making bread, and cook dishes from all over the world.

I wouldn't say that I like to cook but there are dishes that my wife won't/can't cook but that I like to eat. So the end justifies the means.
I enjoy cooking, and so does my 12 year old son, he loves to come into the kitchen and help out. He helped a lot with the Thanksgiving meal last Thursday, and he is also good at it too! yay!
