INTRODUCTION: WHY STUDY THE OLD TESTAMENT?
THE OLD TESTAMENT IS THE FOUNDATION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT
Over 250(direct) quotations in NT from the OT. A total of 1603 quotations, references, and allusions which link the New Testament with the Old.
They cannot be separated. Two Testaments but One Story which is the Story of Redemption through a Divine Redeemer. They are like Europe and America, separated by the Atlantic Ocean, but under the ocean the two are joined together forming one great continent. Tertullian says "In the Old Testament the New is concealed; in the New Testament the Old is revealed".
The OT is the roots and stem whereas the NT is the Flower.
The OT is completed by the NT just as the plant is completed by the flower. The NT develops from the OT as the blossom develops from the rest of the plant. The NT cannot be understood fully without understanding the OT. Knowing the Old Testament will give us a greater understanding of the New Testament. (Studying the O.T will not destroy your faith in the N.T, infact it will enhance it. Why? Because your understanding of the New will increase as you study the O.T). Example: Studying the Levitical Priesthood and the Tabernacle can give us a better understanding of the book of Hebrews.

Regarding spelling and grammar

{P.M.} Punctuation Missing—insert appropriate punctuation (comma, period, semi-colon, etc)
{U.P.} Unnecessary Punctuation—One or more punctuation marks is used unnecessarily.
{Sp} Spelling Error
{U.S.} Unnecessary Shift in Person—You unnecessarily shift from the first person plural (i.e "us") to the second person (i.e. "your") when making generalized statements. Stick to one or the other, or avoid both altogether by sticking to the third person with expressions like, "give one a greater..."
"Culture and travel" or "General discussions" (since there are no categories for "Religious Rants" or "Soapbox Orations") would be better categories.

As far as that goes, under the ocean all continents are joined (forming one large landmass). Of course, if ones intent is to illustrate the "special" connection of two specific continents (to support the analogy) such distinctions may seem mere distractions.

Poor analogy. According to most definitions of a continent, Europe and (North?) America would not form a continent. Better to say that "but under the ocean the two continents are joined together forming one large landmass.
Since many of your expressions are phrases or incomplete sentences rather than complete sentences it is difficult to discuss grammar.
Also your captilization is haphard and breaks up the continuity of what you are expressing.
example:
The OT is the roots and stem whereas the NT is the Flower.
Why capitalize Flower, but not Roots and Stem? (no consistency)
The title of your lessons is the Scarlet Thread, but there is no explanation of the origin or meaning of the title. There is a useful purpose sometimes for creating unanswered questions (to stimulate thought on a topic), but I don't see the purpose here.
I think your last example showing the dependence of the NT on the OT could better be shown by stating that the NT deals mainly with the life of Jesus Christ, the initial foundations of his Kingdom (the Christian church), and it's future development. All of these have no perspective and little meaning without the OT that previews who Jesus will be, what his purposes will be, how they will be accomplished, and their overall place in the Grand Design.

Any idea anybody why this is called scarlet thread?? Does this have some kind of meaning which escapes me?

You start off by using an abbreviation for New Testament and Old Testament; however, the correct way to introduce an abbreviation would be to write out the statement in full followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis. For example, you might say, "[There are] over 250 quotations in the New Testament (NT) [which come directly] from the Old Testament (OT)." Now that you have introduced the reader to the abbreviations, it will be possible to use them without generating unnecessary confusion.
{2}. Once you have introduced the abbreviated form that you will be using, you should generally avoid switching back and forth between the abbreviation and the full expression as you have done here several times
{3}. It is also necessary to demonstrate consistency when employing abbreviations. Everywhere else in your paper where the abbreviation is used, you omit the periods. It is reasonable to use either form—O.T./N.T. or OT/NT—however, you should avoid cycling between the two. Stick with one form or the other, and remember that you cannot mix the forms (O.T/N.T are both incorrectly written).
