Un foto muy gracioso otra vez, pero creo que en el título quieres decir "Head stuck". - Richard-Thomas, Nov 29, 2010
His head is "stuck", not "struck". - amykay, Nov 29, 2010

hmmm "desempeñar" does not work here. es humano "hacerse" el avestruz. (Meaning to imitate its behaviour) Hi sv2qp!! - cogumela, Nov 29, 2010
Thanks cogumela.! - sv2qp, Nov 29, 2010
That 'que' shouldn't be there. 'Hacer(se)' is an infinitive, and as such it doesn't to be 'encapsulated' by 'que' to form a direct object. If the verb were conjugated, then you'd need that 'que': 'que se haga el avestruz'. - bill1111, Nov 29, 2010
I'll go with 'hacerce' Bill I like it more as infinitive..:) thanks.! - sv2qp, Nov 29, 2010

Pues, esto es definitivamente una mejora. Obviamente, la cabeza estaba en otra cosa cuando decidí hacer esto.

Well, this is definitely an improvement. Obviously, my head was in something else when I decided to do this.

Don´t know if this translates to spanish properly. Almost said ¨My head was UP something else...¨ Would that translate better? - ronm192, Nov 29, 2010
Please correct my Spanish. And, please tell me how the translation comes across in Spanish!!! - ronm192, Nov 29, 2010
la cabeza estaba... Well done, ron! - cogumela, Nov 29, 2010

It wasn't my fault, some guy told me you could hear the sea like this. Then he stole my wallet!

No fue culpa mía, un tío me dijo que se puede oír la mar así. ¡Entonces me robó la cartera!

It's correct, but it's more common to say: ¡Entonces me robó la cartera! - bill1111, Nov 29, 2010

I need a new boyfriend. This one has a big head. (This is an idiom meaning "he thinks he is wonderful")

Necesito un nuevo novio. Este tiene una cabeza grande.

Of course, 'tener una cabeza grande' doesn't mean that you think you are very clever.. just that your head is big :p - bill1111, Nov 29, 2010
We would just say, he has a big head and it is understood that we mean he might think he is "full of himself" - Brynleigh, Nov 29, 2010
for example: Stop flattering me,I will get a big head! - Brynleigh, Nov 29, 2010

It really wasn't the best time in my life to score a 'hole in one' ! tongue rolleye tongue winkconfused LOL grin

¡Realmente no ha sido la mejor ocasión en mi vida para embocar un hoyo en uno!

Editor's note; For those not familiar with the game of golf, a 'hole in one' is where a player succeeds in hitting the ball into the appropriate hole in one shot!(I have achieved this in the game of Putting a number of times in my life... but not golf !) lol

Corregid mi español, por favor grin

This would get the job done, but a more correct way of saying it would be: 'Sabía que tenía que haber girado a la izquierda..' - bill1111, Nov 29, 2010
