I have seen an advertisement on UK TV where a girl says 'Eso es un picolo'. What's a picolo?

A piccolo is a small flute, flautín in Spanish.

It´s an italian word that means small/little. If in the advertisement the girl were holding an instrument ( I am guessing it. ), it problably is a flageolet ( piccolo ).
