Hello, What type of Spanish are the speakers in the pronuncation videos on this site using?

Is it European Spanish? or Mexican Spanish? or South American?

There can be quite a difference in accent between the various Hispanic countries, so I would like to know.

Thank you.

In the video lessons, sort of "miscellaneous Latin American" with no strong regional characteristics. If you mean to refer to Paralee, specifically, with some US English overtones.

There was a movement afoot to recruit native Spanish speakers (from wherever), for the specific purpose of recording pronunciations but I don't know if that ever got off of the ground.

Hmm, I'd say Paralee (in the video part of the lessons) has a very strong American accent. - dave0710, Nov 27, 2010
