Tarjetas de Vocabulario
¿Por qué estudiantes la creación de tarjetas de vocabulario sin el artículo? Especialmente cuando memorizar el artículo es la base de un excelente español.
Forgive any grammatical errors just giving this a shot....
Frankly one cannot assume that a noun is a feminine word or a masculine word without actually looking it up. I find myself skipping alot of flashcards without the article, since I feel if the creator is taking a short cut and assuming the article, the definition of the flashcard may not be as accurate as hoped...and we all know that many words have multiple meanings/uses.

I tend to agree with you. I still use flashcards, but only as one of many methods to help me bond spanish words to their meaning (even if alternate meanings are not included via a flashcard). It's great when the articles are present, and even if they're absent on words of obvious gender. I don't consider it a waste of my time to try flashcard sets of any quality. When in doubt, I take the time to look up a word, and thereby learn that word all the better for it.
I agree with you 100%. I also look up words and do not rely specifically on anyone's flashcards as being totally accurate. At no point did I think that I was sending a message of wasting my time with the flashcards lacking an article. I think the student/creator is actually doing him/herself a disservice by using poor studying techniques.
Having lived in Europe for many years speaking French, Portuguese, and German the most productive way of learning a language is by carefully incorporating the gender in your learning...I am old enough to remember when Spanish was touted as the easiest of the languages because of the reliance on the o/a ending which do not happen in the other languages with the frequency of Spanish. Nothing is further from the truth about the ease of command of this language.
