Please clarify Possessives

If I want to say "their friends are nice" and "their" refers to two guys (Pedro y Mateo) and "friends" refers to girls (Marta y Teresa), would it be: Sus amigas son simpaticos. Or... Sus amigas son simpaticas.

You have the possessive determiner correct - sus - because like other adjectives it must match the noun they refer to.
As far as simpaticas goes, yes it must be fem/plural because the adjective has to agree in number and gender with the noun (the girls) that it modifies.
