Design for Certificate from Spanishdict

Design for Certificate from Spanishdict

HI everybody, have a look at this thread, the member asked if it was possible to implement a Certificate for Achievement or something similar from Spanishdict.

So I looked into it and the webowners thought it was a neat ideawink

So Jeremy said this:

Heidi, It will take some time, we will have to come up with the design then have the programmers work on implementation. Do you have any ideas on what it should look like?

So now the question is:

Are there any artists around who could help designing this Certificate? What should it look like and what should be in it?

Something in blue and white like this would be good.

Great design Vaanz, I would only add what Lesson 1 entailed and what competency the person showed - ie. have levels of competency - perfect to pass kind of thing? - Kiwi-Girl, Nov 26, 2010
Perfect, it sems very in keeping with the current 'look' of SD. :) - galsally, Nov 27, 2010
The date of achievment might be nice, too! Nice design Vaanz! - bandit51jd, Nov 27, 2010
Great design Vaanz!!! Very simple and elegant. With the solid blue background, however, it might take quite a bit of ink to print out - Izanoni1, Nov 27, 2010
I agree with Izanoni1 from the technical point of view.. - sv2qp, Nov 27, 2010
I agree with Izannoni as well. - Leatha, Nov 27, 2010
There are two that stand out to me....this one is one of them. :) Looks great! - Jason7R, Nov 27, 2010

Here's one sample of a spanish language/culture certificate:

I think it would be good to show the level and the competency shown smile alt text

I borrowed from the very elegant design that Vaanz suggested to make a certificate that would take a bit less ink to print:

No watermark/undated: Photobucket

With No Watermark/Dated Photobucket

With SpanishDict Watermark Photobucket

With Logo Watermark: Photobucket

and what should be in it?

A few suggestions for some graphics on the certificate would be:

1 - Span¡ishD!ct in the block white letters, like on the banner at the top of the home page. Positioned across the top of the certificate along with the level of accomplishment.

2 - Learn Spanish 1 has the bowl of hanging fruit

Learn Spanish 2 has the Ferris Wheel

Aprender inglés 1 has the pastries.
etc.

depending on the certificate achieved place this graphic on that certificate. If ever the graphic changes on the Learn Lessons page, be sure the graphic changes on the certificate.

These graphics would just add color and design to the basics of what level was achieved, the name of the user, and the date of the achievement.

That is a pretty elegant design, but (because the background is black) it would probably require a lot of ink to print up - Izanoni1, Nov 26, 2010
Hmm, very good point . - Yeser007, Nov 26, 2010
